Changes Ahead...

Changes Ahead...

Let me begin by thanking each and every one of you for your loyal business to Rose of Sharon Acres over the years. If you have purchased from our shop in the past, you have undoubtedly had some interactions with the Queen of the soap shop, Monica Sartin.

As some of you may know, Monica has been dealing with health struggles over the past year, as she bravely fought a battle with stage 4 uterine cancer. Monica continued to keep the shop running (with the invaluable help of her husband and hero, Dennis), making products when she was having a good day, and training her youngest daughter, Amber Singer, regarding recipes and shop administration over the course of these past months. Amber began taking over production earlier this year with the tips and tricks passed down to her. If you have received products this Spring, there is a good chance that Amber lovingly, and carefully crafted and packed your products. Her goal is to ensure the same quality and product value that you are accustomed to receiving.

That being said, it is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved matriarch. Monica passed from our arms into the arms of her Father in Heaven on Saturday morning, June 4. In her last newsletter, Monica detailed some of her journey this past year. As of December 2021, it was announced that she was in remission! What a weight that was lifted from our family. We were overjoyed! Unfortunately, things took a turn and the cancer returned with an even more aggressive strain. Monica knew that her days were not numbered by a physician here on Earth, but by the Great Physician who created each of us. She fought bravely and without fear until the very end.

One of her requests in her final days was that we write this newsletter to communicate with her customers, whom she loved so much. She wanted you to be confident in knowing that Rose of Sharon Acres will continue to provide you with the soaps, creams, and other familiar products that you love. She also asked that you be as patient and understanding with us as you have been with her. Amber and her husband, Austin, are taking over production. Dennis is continuing to help with shop operations, and her oldest daughter, Alyssa Sentany, will be helping wherever she is needed when she is in town.

Please continue to be patient with us as we learn to adjust to the absence of a wife, mother, grandmother, queen of the soaphouse, and so many other titles that she lovingly held. Thank you, again, for your continued patronage and support over the years. It is because of you, our loyal customers, that this small, family business created back in 2006, has become all that it is.

Sincerely,

The entire Sartin, Sentany, and Singer Family
